The only real drawback to a fine titanium seatpost like this one is cost, a new seatpost. Thicker walls won't flex over rough pavement and bumps, so the jolts are sent directly to the rider. Titanium seatposts are incredibly strong, while be quite resilient, allowing for a much smoother ride than seatposts made of aluminum or carbon fiber, which rely on thick walls for their strength. It's in excellent condition, with just some very light insertion marks on the bottom section from insertion. It is a very well made seatpost, with a quality head and outstanding welds and a great design. There are no logos or stampings to indicate the original manufacturer, but I was told by the original owner that he believed it was made by Dean. Handcrafted seatpost that is 27.2mm in diameter, and 270mm in length.
